We know, it’s March— but we haven’t started harvest yet as we are waiting for this green to go away. Patience. You love Ojai pixies because we sell fabulous fruit— unlike sone tangerines out there we wait until we love them before we harvest.

Pixie buyers come visiting Ojai these days. The season will start a little later than past years as we await the crop ripening. Fruit should start showing up in stores mid-March.

We are getting anxious about the weird uneven ripe
We are getting anxious about the weird uneven ripening of our dear Ojai pixie crop 2026. We still don’t have a start date for harvest— as you can see a lot of the fruit is still green. Fingers and toes crossed that this incoming cold snap will trigger more color change and sugar development. Citrus turns orange when temperatures drop below 50F. #chlorophyll #ojaicitrus
